By John Means
I do not generally talk about Illuminati, NWO, Masons or other real and rumored Secret Societies . It is not that I fail to recognize the historical and present day anomalies and machinations that seem to be Indicators of such possibilities, but rather that I understand that we can only influence and change those things that are in front of us.
A friend spoke some words to me a few years ago that had a deep impact on my views and I think I even found a deeper meaning than he’d intended. An understanding that still broadens for me daily:
‘The Rabbit Hole has No Bottom.’
The Meaning it has taken on to me is that the ‘Rabbit Hole’ is not a mystery hidden in dark depths, nor some ancient Truth that will dawn a New Era of Enlightenment for Humanity. The Rabbit Hole is a Labyrinth; a Maze of Twisting Corridors that wind through dark and shadowy sophistry and bright, flashy Feel Good Slogans, with its only purpose to provide a habitat for the varied and diverse malcontents who reject Mainstream Society to some degree. Its warrens are lined with dazzling sites and deep chasms, small bits of Wisdom strewn about amongst the flotsam and dregs, as well as Great Heroes and Contemptible Villains.
A person can spend their entire life running frantically though those halls, convinced they will soon find the answers they seek, and many have done just that.
Which is why the ‘Rabbit Hole’ is there for us.
Once you realize that it is all part of a huge Production that stretches back through the Ages of Man, and once you manage to find your way out (again passing the Grand and Horrific Sights), a new understanding begins to take shape, clarity of thought that allows one to consider information objectively. Not the absence of Cognitive Dissonance but the acceptance of it; the ability to contemplate and idea without assigning it a Value, and in the end being able to admit that it has none.
The Wars and Grievances, the Societies and Bloodlines, the Religions and Governments, the Idols and Monsters, the Violence and Apathy, the times that have past and the ages to come…… None of it matters. It is Trivia and Academia to be denied by Generations yet to be born. It is all completely devoid of any Value.
All that matters is Right Here, Right Now. The Trolls under their Bridges and Vampires in their Towers are far removed from us, entrenched and protected by Fierce Magics. And as we feel their sinister influence over the world we live in we must come to realize that we are intended to recognize, or at least suspect, the source of our woes that we may dash ourselves to pieces against their Defenses.
That is precisely what Humanity has done for Six Millennia or more.
It is time to break this Cycle once and for all, allowing Mankind to accept its Destiny and fulfill our Duty as the Guardians and Servants of this Living Planet.
It is time to leave the Rabbit Hole.
But leaving the Rabbit Hole is no easy journey.
Once you have decided that the condition of our Society is unreasonable and intolerable you will be faced with constant conflict encouraging you to accept these conditions, from without as well as within. In our daily surroundings we are subjected to Thousands of ideas and messages’ from education, advertising, music and other sources, and so are the people around us, and it is a condition that has increased dramatically over the last Century.
Sorting all this information in an attempt to discover the ‘Truth’ is a pointless, and truly all that information is in fact the ‘Rabbit Hole’, and we want to leave this crazy place.
Since this is not a physical journey, just a metaphor, in ‘Leaving’ we are really talking about a new thought process that allows us to accept and integrate all this information, as well as a manner of digesting the excess and useless bits. There are a few very specific concepts we must understand if we truly seek comprehension of the social and historical data many of us spend long hours researching. They are Rhetoric, Logic and Cognitive Dissonance. I cannot encourage you enough to understand these concepts and actively try to recognize them in your day to day life. I will talk about them a bit here, but they are concepts that take observation and practice to understand.
Rhetoric and Logic are terms commonly used to asses a single statement or idea, but in reality they are Academic Schools of Thought and were a standard part of Formal Education from a young age until the late 19 Century. They can be most simply described as:
- Rhetoric – Language designed to have a persuasive or impressive effect on its audience, but often regarded as lacking in sincerity or meaningful content.
- Logic – Reasoning conducted or assessed according to strict principles of validity.
These are very contradictory concepts which will be expanded upon for another Six Millennium among Mankind, I am sure, but the Moral of the Story is this;
To identify Rhetoric, you must apply Logic.
These seem like simple ideas to understand, but here is the Big Secret you will never be taught in a Class Room these days; Rhetoric usually feels pretty damn good, and Logic usually hurts like a son-of-a-bitch! The pain does not come from some unidentified force or Divine Punishment, but as the result of a condition which in Psychological Terms is called Cognitive Dissonance.
- Cognitive Dissonance – Excessive mental stress and discomfortexperienced by an individual who holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values at the same time. This stress and discomfort may also arise within an individual who holds a belief and performs a contradictory action or reaction.
Leon Festinger’s Theory of Cognitive Dissonance focuses on how humans strive for internal consistency. When inconsistency (dissonance) is experienced, individuals largely become psychologically distressed. His basic hypotheses are:
- “The existence of dissonance, being psychologically uncomfortable, will motivate the person to try to reduce the dissonance and achieve consonance”
- “When dissonance is present, in addition to trying to reduce it, the person will actively avoid situations and information which would likely increase the dissonance”
Just reading those descriptions it is easy for anyone to understand, and even have personally experienced a time of severe Cognitive Dissonance. We have all been there.
I try to avoid elaborate metaphors, which are among the highest form of Rhetoric, but in the interest wrapping this up, and staying on point, we will stick with the ‘Rabbit Hole’. In this sense Rhetoric is the walls and tunnels of the Rabbit Hole, the awe inspiring sights and shadowy niches that evoke fear and wonder. Cognitive Dissonance would be the Hookah Smoking Caterpillar or Cheshire Cat with their Riddles and Tea Parties, always seeking to guide you, but to a destination and fate of their choosing, not your own. Logic is the way out, but it is not a map or guide post; it is a Looking Glass.
But this is not Alice in Wonderland, it is the Real World, we can’t go ‘Through the Looking Glass’!
We have already gone through the looking glass friends, and it is not some magic device that transports us to a far away land, or a pair of spectacles that allows us to see through illusions. The Looking Glass has always been a plain old mirror, and it can lead us out of the Rabbit Hole, but only if we are prepared to hold it up, look at our own reflection and stand ready to question our deepest held beliefs and ideals.
Stop looking at the Rabbit Hole and start looking in the Mirror.
The only way out is to find yourself.
